    5 things to do now

    1. 1

      Limit further damage

Cut power, move stock, cover assets. It is also a duty of the insured under the policy.

    2. 2

      Notify your insurer

Notify early and in writing (email or letter), and keep a record of when you did.

    3. 3

      Record the scene

Take wide and close-up photos and video before cleaning or repairing. Keep damaged goods and equipment.

    4. 4

Report to the authorities when needed

Police, fire service, port authority or local government. Ask for an incident report.

    5. 5

      Do not admit liability

Do not sign agreements with third parties without advice. For cargo, send a notice of claim to the carrier within the time limit.

    How we work

We sit on your side of the table

When a loss happens, the insurer has its adjusters and claims handlers. The insured business usually has an accountant and an incomplete file. Fo4U fills that gap.

    1. 1

Read the wording before you need it

We review your current policies and flag exclusions, deductibles and under-insurance conditions that could reduce a payout.

    2. 2

      Quantify the loss with evidence

We build the loss calculation for property, stock and business interruption with supporting documents, the way adjusters and insurers will test it.

    3. 3

Work directly with adjusters and insurers

We attend surveys, answer information requests and negotiate open points through to settlement.

    Case studies

Problems we are typically brought in to solve

    See all case studies

    Warehouse · Flood

    Payout reduced for under-insurance

    Situation
A finished-goods warehouse flooded after a storm. Stock on the day of loss was far above the sum insured declared at the start of the year.
    Issue
The insurer proposed applying average, significantly reducing the settlement.
    How we help
We checked the stock declaration clauses, compiled monthly records to prove actual values and proposed a calculation consistent with the policy.

    Cargo · Sea freight

    Container damaged on arrival

    Situation
Imported machinery was dented and water-damaged when the container was opened at Cat Lai port.
    Issue
The consignee had no joint survey with the carrier and the claim deadline was close.
    How we help
We guided the loss documentation, sent the notice of claim to the carrier on time and ran the insurance claim and third-party recovery in parallel.

    Construction · CAR

Dispute over the cause of a site incident

    Situation
A diaphragm wall collapsed after heavy rain, affecting neighbouring buildings.
    Issue
The insurer argued the cause was faulty design, an excluded peril.
    How we help
We worked with engineers on cause analysis, checked the exclusion and extension clauses and prepared the technical arguments for the adjuster.
